The Watercress Line transforms into a place of magic and mischief for Halloween!
We have lots of spooky activities to keep the kids entertained this October half-term including these new activities for 2024:
- Create your own scary slime to take home, with our ‘Professors’ in their Slime Laboratory!
- Have a go at circus skills and tricks to frighten your friends!
Children of all ages are invited to dress up as a spooky Halloween character for a chance to win a fantastically spooky prize! Whether you’re a wondrous wizard, a ghastly ghost or a petrifying pumpkin, come along to the fancy dress competition.
There are three age categories:
- Under 4’s: ‘Brand New Wizards’
- Age 4 - 8 year olds: ‘Emerging Wand Talent’
- Over 8 year olds: ‘Potion Masters’
Spine-tingling treats are in store – including terrific rides on the Wizard Express heritage train and the thrill of walking in Harry Potter’s footsteps over the famous railway footbridge where Harry received his Hogwarts Express ticket in the film.
Ghouls and ghosts can ride the steam trains throughout the day and hop on and off as they wish to explore the four heritage stations. Get stuck into our brand new slime laboratory and be spooked by some creepy creatures.
Activities run from 10am until 4pm.
WHAT’S HAPPENING?
- Travel on the thrilling Wizard Express heritage train
- New for 2024 Get stuck into our slime laboratory with Professors Slugwind and Apricus, create your own slime to take home!
- New for 2024 Have a go at learning some circus skills upstairs in the Alresford Goods Shed: 10:30am – 4pm
- Marvel at fabulous magic tricks at daily shows starting at 12pm & 2pm, upstairs in the Alresford Goods Shed
- Dress up and take part in the daily fancy dress competition at 1pm & 3pm upstairs at Alresford Goods Shed
- Enjoy rides on the menacing miniature railway
- Explore the Harry Potter style coaches at Alresford
- Walk in Harry Potter’s footsteps over the famous railway footbridge where Harry received his Hogwarts Express ticket in the film!
- Be brave and get up close to hairy, scary, creepy creatures at Ropley!
- Make a wonderful wand (additional cost)
- Enjoy some creepy crafts
- Halloween pottery painting (additional cost)
- Listen to spooky story telling
- Enjoy unlimited train travel through the day. Hop on and off as you please to explore our four heritage stations
