With spiral staircases, battlements and lots of hands-on history, 14th century Bodiam Castle is a picture-perfect day out for families.
Roll up, roll up! The Medieval Fair is back at Bodiam Castle for summer 2024 (24 July to 2 September, free with admission). Try mini jousting, hobby horses, straw bale hurdles and quoits. There's longbow archery (fee applies) and a new castle family trail too. Drop in to Knight School for action-packed duels and armour handling (18 to 26 August, free with admission). Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company for a magical evening of Beauty and the Beast, in the atmospheric castle courtyard. Bring a picnic to enjoy with family and friends (booking advised, fee applies).
