In this special concert, world class clarinettist, Emma Johnson and her hand picked Orchestra for the Environment, perform the Mozart Concerto, that timeless classic encompassing the gamut of human emotion. The jazzier side of the clarinet is showcased in Gershwin's Walking the Dog and John Barry's Returning Home, whilst the group's love of nature comes to the fore in Puccini's Chrysanthemums and Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee. Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings brings the concert to a life-affirming close.
Emma Johnson's inaugural concert with the Orchestra for the Environment took place in 2023 at the Lamberhurst Music Festival, Kent. Director, Marc Lodge, said afterwards: "In my 8 years of leading the LMF, I’ve not enjoyed a concert as much as yours back in May. Everything about it was just so good!"
