Established for over 35 years, we are a 71/4” Gauge independent Miniature Railway located in the Hertfordshire countryside. Located within the grounds of Van Hage Garden Centre in Great Amwell (near Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12 9RP), we are open to the public every weekend for complete family enjoyment.
During the school holidays we operate a special service on limited days. All our times and fares can be found here on our Calendar.
About Us
Our operation is run entirely by volunteer-based enthusiasts who give up their free time to run and maintain the railway. After defraying the cost of running the railway, we make regular donations to nominated charities and local organisations.
Both our independent railway and the Van Hage Garden Centre is a popular visitor destination for children and parents alike, where there are a variety of activities available. .
