More Information

One of the most renowned attractions in Oxford is the Bodleian Libraries, which have a history that spans over five centuries.

The Bodleian Library was founded in 1488, and was expanded and renovated in 1602 by Sir Thomas Bodley. It has been a place of learning and discovery for many illustrious scholars, including kings, Nobel laureates, prime ministers and authors such as Oscar Wilde, CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien.

To explore the Bodleian Library and the Radcliffe Camera, which are both active libraries of the University of Oxford, you need to join one of our three guided tours. This is the only way to access these magnificent buildings and learn about their secrets.

Wheelchair access is limited, please call for more information.
