Those relating to farming and weaving are on permanent display as is a selection of old toys and dolls. Examples of beautiful embroidery, for which Ayrshire was justly famous, are also display.
There are Victorian sitting room and kitchen settings in addition to frequent changes of tableaux on topical themes.
Other specialities are a huge range of photographs some of which have been collated into a DVD of Old West Kilbride.
The local Book of Remembrance is always available and is backed by medals and memorabilia of the two World Wars.
