More Information

Sacrewell holds a special place in the hearts of our visitors, with many who explored the farm as children bringing their own families to see us, over and over again.

But the farm is far more than a visitor attraction and has a fascinating history that can be traced back to the Domesday survey of 1086. Since 1964, the 50-acre site has been run as a charity by the William Scott Abbott Trust with the aim of providing an agricultural education for everyone, from school children to heritage enthusiasts. The charity also owns the wider 550 acres of Sacrewell Farm, which includes land farmed by Riverford Organic Farmers and the PGRO research site.

As a charity, we are always happy to receive support. You can help us to educate and delight future generations by becoming a member or volunteering on the farm. A current work in progress is our Heritage Lottery Fund Watermill Project.
