PYO honeyberries

At Norseman Farm, in the glorious Cheshire countryside, they are growing honeyberries for PYO, and the 2023 season is about to start.

A family trip to pick your own fruit is a superb day out with children – beautiful locations in the countryside, plenty of exercise and fresh air – and an activity that all ages can enjoy together. Even better there are delicious healthy treats to take home at the end of the day.

Many of us have fond memories of picking juicy sweet berries from laden bushes warmed by the sun. What better way to greet the beginning of summer.

If you want to feel virtuous as well, think of encouraging your children to appreciate the seasonality of food, to support local farmers and reduce packaging.

Honeyberries  are similar to blueberries in taste and looks and are packed with antioxidants (three times as much as blueberries) and vitamin C. They can be eaten raw or used in jams and jellies.

Our berries are  £4 per kilo punnet, or £1 per 1/4kg punnet.

There are limited spaces, so pre booking is required – there is a link on the website to reserve your slot. As soon as the berries are ready for picking we will open the booking availability.

The farm is open Monday to Wednesday and Saturday 10am to 5pm (last booking 5pm), and Thursday and Friday 10am to 6pm.

Please note that the ground is uneven in places, so please bring appropriate footwear and dress for the weather.

No dogs, except service dogs are allowed in the PYO fields.

There is ample free parking on site and we have an active EV charger in the carpark which PYO guests are welcome to use.
