More Information

Palacerigg Country Park is a wonderful place to visit for nature lovers and families alike. Located in the south-east of Cumbernauld, it is easily accessible from Glasgow, Motherwell, Stirling or Falkirk by car in less than 30 minutes.

The park was created in the 1970s to conserve the native flora and fauna of the area, and now hosts a variety of wildlife such as roe deer, badger, fox, hare, sparrowhawk, kestrel and owl. You can learn more about the park's history and ecology from the friendly countryside rangers, who offer educational programmes for schools and groups.

You can also enjoy the 10km of nature trails and footpaths that wind through the park, or try the tree top walkway for a different perspective.

Palacerigg Country Park is a great destination for a day out in the countryside.
