A surfer's paradise, Joss Bay this popular 200-metre long bay is known as the best surfing beach in Thanet. It is surrounded by fields and a golf course so offers a wide expanse of sand and carefree play.
The surf school on the beach hires boards and wet suits so you can take to the waves, a little different to the bays smuggling days! If you're not into your water sports the beach is still perfect for a day at the beach with deck chair and lounger hire available, a beach shop and cafe on the sands.
There is plenty of exposed sand when the tide is in, but take care walking, as the beach will get cut off at both ends.

Dog ban in place from 1st May until 30th September, dogs not permitted from 10am - 6pm.
We have been informed this beach is not wheelchair accessible, there is a steep ramp and steep steps down to the beach.
