Moorways Sports Village and Water Park

Opened in 2022, Moorways Sports Village and Water Park combines a water park and leisure centre with the Moorways Stadium to create a fantastic sports and leisure facility for the whole community. This centre in Derby is sure to have a range of activities to suit everyone’s needs, thanks to a water park, an enormous 50m swimming pool, a teaching pool, two soft playrooms, a state-of-the-art gym, group fitness studios, and a sauna and steam room. The stadium complex comprises of an athletics track, as well as both grass and artificial football pitches.

Designed with families in mind, Moorways Water Park guarantees to make a splash with swimmers of all ages. The water park boasts two 100m flumes, as well as a beach-style leisure pool which features a wave generating Wow Ball. Other attractions include a racer multi-slide where you can race your friends and family, a wave rider, and water playground with mini-slides for the little ones.

There are two-further pools at the Moorways, including a 50 metre main pool with a movable floor, and a learner pool with sensory lighting and a portable iSwim hoist, providing younger swimmers with the perfect place to try the water for the first time, and take part in Everyone Active’s award-winning swimming lessons.

If you prefer to stay on dry land, there’s a large soft play room, and the café which offers views of the water park and includes a second smaller soft play area to keep the children entertained.

If your fitness goals are more personal, then pay a visit to the fitness and health suite. The state-of-the-art gym is packed with the latest Technogym cardio and resistance equipment, a large free weight area with Olympic racks and a functional area including a track. Moorways Sports Village also boasts three group exercise studios. The instructor classes alongside a fully scheduled virtual time table means that there is always an opportunity to take part, regardless of age or fitness level.
