At the heart of the site are two purpose-built lakes for waterskiing and wakeboarding and a Canadian cedar-style building overlooking the lakes. This houses a 45 cover restaurant serving freshly prepared English dishes sourced where possible from local produce, a lake-side bar and decked terrace, four conference and meeting rooms and main reception and changing facilities for the watersports.
The development of Box End Park has significantly increased the wildlife and biodiversity of the site with the establishment of mixed woodland, grassland and marginal habitats. The management of the site balances the need to keep some areas well mown and formally landscaped while at the same time allowing other areas to re-establish and flourish as a natural habitat for wildlife. To help minimize the impact of human activities on the wildlife we ask visitors to keep dogs on leads at all times and clear up after them. We also provide plenty of bins to help visitors keep the site free from litter.
